well, hello there bloggers, family and friends. it sure has been a long time...scratch that, it has been FOREVER. one year to be exact. so much has happened in my life, the lives of my children (yes there are two now) and my husbands too. god has graciously blessed me way beyond what i deserve. where do i even begin? ill try to hit the highlights.
back in april 2010, a missive earthquake hit haiti. it completely left haiti in shambles. zach has been to haiti several times and each time left a part of his heart there, so hearing this news, immediately zach new he was going to go and render aid in what ever way he could. he and a few other men from our church went. they were there for about 10 days. it was a long time to be away from my best friend, and to say that i was not worried would be a total lie. i was scared. so much chaos and no form of order really scared me. im human. zach (and the other men) didn't really care, and with faith left the u.s. when he returned there were many many amazing stories of how god used them. i will forever remember my husbands servant heart. here are a few pictures for you.
here zach is serving rice to some of the famalies affected by the quake.
a pre-view of tate walker lambert. precious!
also, in april...i was preggers. and we didn't even know. i sent my honey off to a third world country when i was 9 weeks pregnant. believe me i am grateful to god for keeping him safe.I think (know) that the all mighty Lord has a sense of humor. It reminds me of the time when I was pregnant with Adler and Zazh was in HAITI and I was a few weeks pregnant as well. Zach said once in conversation "Well, anytime that we want to get pregnant - I'll just go to HAITI". Cute, right?! this time, my first clue that i was pregnant was one of my students said "mrs. lambert, your looking a little pudgy, are you pregnant?" "no, girl. i think i would know"...(I DIDN'T.) zach returned and i mentioned that i think i should take a test. i did and it was POSITIVE! what! so we scheduled a dr. appointment and sure enough i was and not only was i preggers, i was already in my 9th week. i had totally passed my 1st trimester. crazy. no wonder why i wanted "smoke-cheesy" burger from whataburger. gross, now that im looking back. i spent the entire summer pregnant, and what a hot summer it was. i did find ways to keep adler and i busy. we visited the pool almost everyday. it was a good summer.
august came and school started without a hitch. i was alittle nervous knowing that i was only going to be in the classroom for about 6 weeks and a sub would take over. i totally thank the lord for helping me get all things in order and sending a great sub to watch my little artist. for the most part my kiddos were great.
october was the next big month in my life. tate walker lambert was born october 5. 8 lbs and 9 oz. and just precious! a mommy of two boys that is what i am, and i am so proud!
